Through the use of ATABOND^® coupling agents, which significantly enhance the bonding of wood fibers with the polymer matrix, mechanical properties such as bending strength and impact strength of the composite material are also greatly improved.

Furthermore, the ability to withstand higher temperatures and surface quality are enhanced. ATABOND^® modifiers also reduce water uptake considerably, which results in improved dimensional stability. The latter is a very important factor for outdoor applications, such as decking boards.
